This is a near drive-up in a carefully driven Prius, or perhaps a full-on drive-up in a vehicle with some ground clearance. There's nothing particularly scenic about this peak, but you will likely find it quiet, both RF and absent any other people.

Starting from the intersection of Highway 58 and the Crescent Cutoff Road (near Crescent, Oregon) travel 3.2 miles east on the Cutoff Road to go 3.0 miles north on the Cascade Lakes National Scenic Byway. There you will turn left (west) onto a dirt forest road for one mile, where you'll bear left onto NF-4672 -- on some maps this is called Royce Mountain Loop Road. Follow this for 3.7 miles to a left turn that will take you the last 2.5 miles to the summit. We parked the Prius about 0.4 miles from the peak (there aren't many places to pull over) and walked the road to the top.

Plenty of trees for antennas. You should have no expectations for 2m fm activity - including challenging spotting using  APRS. The photo below is of the turnaround at the summit.

Consider an activation of nearby Odell Butte W7O/CE-032 while you are in the neighborhood. Read the trip report first...)
