Treefall has been cleared!

When I did this activation there was treefall at 45.64442, -123.54488. This added approx. 1.5-2mile-ish round trip to the hike.

Roscoe and I headed up to Rodgers Peak for Winter Field Day. There was a mix of bare road and snow on the road hike up. Generally anywhere in the shade had snow. Snowshoes were not needed and I was not postholing during the hike.

On summit I set up the Rollup J-Pole and got 11 QSOs including the crew of 5 on Bell's Mountain. I then setup HF and was trying to work Tyler ND7Y groundwave on SSB 40m. I got one surprise field day contact that way!

Some 2m FM action picked up again and I got 3 more QSOs there with the Longranger.

With no luck getting Tyler, I switched over to 20m CW and spent most of my activation there: 17 QSOs. I tried 40m and got 4 more.

The summit was getting colder and with the added distance to the car I was ready to pack up. I gave a few more calls on 40m SSB and got one last QSO.

All in all a beautiful day to be out in Tillamook.
