We had great weather and great participation in the September 2017 Willamette Valley Summit-to-Summit Party. Fourteen operators on ten summits - that's a bunch of S2S contacts to be made!

Most folks were using a HT at just 5W, and many had some kind of improved antennas, including roll-up j-poles, several 3 element homemade yagis, and a 5/8 wave mag mount - signals were pretty good all around - enough for a contact from High Rock, WA to Marys Peak over 171 miles!

Here's who joined our Party on the Air -
     Mark-KE7MSU on Marys Peak
     Scott-KI7EMX on Wildcat Mountain
     Mark-K7EEX on Peak 3058
Dan-KG7VAK with James on Table Rock
Carrie-K7CAC and Kevin-KE7K on Mount Sylvania
Kim-KI7NQN and Etienne-K7ATN on Silver Star (WA)
A guest appearance by Tim-KG7EJT on High Rock (WA)
Phil-NS7P and Jim-AF7JT on Sheridan Peak
Brian-AF7MD and Steve-KI7HYF on (South) Saddle Mountain
     Britt-K7BDB on Mount Scott

The 2m FM event was followed a 2304 MHz SSB contact over 106 miles between KE7MSU and K7ATN with signals S8 or better, and an easy FM contact on 1296 MHz over the same path.
