I will try to participate. Had no activity in 2013, mainly due to excessive work load. My broken pole was not replaced either, so I might stick to lovely VHF.

Yes, yes, I know it's a bit early but here's the three and a half major 2014 NA SOTA events for folks who need to orchestrate travel time around summer family vacations, etc.

1) International SOTA Weekend: The 3-4th of May this year. Many European Activators and Chasers will be active so it's a great opportunity for "across the pond" SOTA activity.

1.5) Northwest Ham Convention at Seaside, Oregon: Again this year SOTA folks in the NW region can gather at Pizza Harbor in Seaside on Friday, 6 June around 6:30pm to meet face to face and exchange all sorts of chasing and activating stories.

2) W7 S2S Activity Weekend: This year on 2-3th of August. This first weekend is also when the ARRL UHF Contest occurs, K0NR's Colorado 14er event, and the Rocky Mountain SOTA Rendezvous. Last year we had the first W7 S2S Activity Weekend which was very popular. FYI, over 500 Activator points were available during that weekend! See the NA SOTA Yahoo Reflector for more information about the Colorado Rocky Mtn SOTA Rendezvous or http://www.k0nr.com/wordpress/2014/02/colorado-14er-event-august-3-2014/.

3) NA SOTA Day: Lot's of discussion last year around having this event on the ARRL VHF Contest Weekend which is 13-14th of September. Obviously there will be a lot of 6m and 2m activity and some Activators might want to camp out to participate in the VHF contest as well as SOTA.
