We are less than a month away from the 2023 Annular Eclipse that will cross Southern Oregon. Two 8-point SOTA peaks in Southeastern Oregon are in the path of totality: Drake Peak (W7O/CE-002) and

It is with great excitement that I am announcing the 1st Annual W7O SOTA Campout here in beautiful Southern Oregon. We will be camping out at Hyatt Lake Recreation Area (42.168,-122.464) within the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument from July 8-11th, 2022. We hope that many will join us for a fun extended weekend with many great summits and sights to see in the area. Make your reservations soon. There are also cabins to rent available for the glampers at Hyatt Lake Resort (link below).

Bill/WA7NCL and Guy/N7UN will be on a SOTA campout for a few days next week starting the 12th-14th. We've got a number of SOTA activations planned in the Randle/Packwood area, just south of RNP and SR12. We will be tent camping at local State Parks.

Looks like the weather is going to be good.  If your schedule permits for either the campout or daily SOTA activations, you are welcome to join us.

Longer term, I've got general plans for campout/SOTAxpedition late Sept. and the Olympic NP for early October with my hiking friend Paul/W6PNG.
